The Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI) is a program of Washington Family Engagement. The PLTI is a 12- week online course that teaches parents, community members, and professionals working with families to understand systems and develop civic, leadership, and public speaking skills.
You are applying to the Spring 2023 Parent Leadership Training Institute Online class in English. The course begins Saturday, Feb. 25th, 2023, and ends with graduation on Saturday, May 20th, 2023.
The course is 12 weeks long (equal to one college quarter) and implemented in three-hour sessions twice a week, Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
This course is brought at NO COST to you. In addition, upon graduation, you are eligible to receive 5 credits (electives) from Everett Community College (you're saving about $500 to $1,000!).
Requirements:
- You must attend the first two online classes that we call Retreats. Saturday, Feb. 25th, from 8:30 am to 1 pm, and Saturday, March 4th, from 8:30 am to 1 pm.
- All classes are online, and you must have a reliable Internet connection.
- You cannot have more than 3 absences during the course duration.
